We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Sharon Doreen Campbell on Friday, February 6, 2026, at the age of 83, in Rosthern, Saskatchewan.
Sharon was born in Saskatoon on June 7, 1942, to Percy and Ruth Esch, the youngest of five children. She attended Bedford Road Collegiate, where she was actively involved in school life and sports, and was awarded the Senior Pin in Grade 12. After graduating, Sharon attended Secretarial School and launched her career at the University of Saskatchewan in the Biology Department. She continued her career by spending 25 years at John Diefenbaker School in Prince Albert.
Sharon raised her three children—Randy, Susan, and Tim— in Prince Albert. While working full-time at JD School, she was deeply involved in her children’s many and varied activities, her bridge group, with her beloved cat, Minx, and socially with the many friends and family she had. In 1974, she married Len Campbell, and together they shared many happy years. In 2006, they moved to Okotoks, AB, enjoying retirement, church, volunteering, and time with children and grandchildren.
Sharon was known for her strong spirit, resilience in managing her health, and especially for her great sense of humour, which she carried with her through life and shared generously with family, friends, and coworkers alike. In 2020, Sharon and Len moved to Rosthern, where she enjoyed peaceful years close to family, later residing at Sunrise Place in the Mennonite Nursing Home.
Sharon will be lovingly remembered by her children: Randy (Karen), Sue (Marty), and Tim (Nicole); her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Len, her parents and her siblings.
