After a short stay with Rose Garden Hospice, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Harlean Grace Chappell ( nee Robertson), on January 27, 2026. Harlean passed away peacefully with her family and close friends at her side.

Harlean was born on March 4, 1939, in MacDowall, SK to Ernest and Mary Robertson and spent the majority of her life in and around the Prince Albert area.  Harlean graduated from Business College and worked for many years in an office setting.  After retirement she found her dream job and began working at Kapasiwin Cabins, Waskesiu, SK where she made many close friends and created many memories.  She loved working outdoors, taking evening drives to look for wildlife, golfing and sharing stories during family visits. She held a love of gardening in the summer and curling in the winter.  She loved to travel with her best buddy, Katrina Hewison. They saw many fabulous places, shared many laughs and made many unforgettable memories together.  She also loved a good coffee and story session with her close friends, Hope, Duane, Marilyn, Darren and Donny.

Harlean was a proud mother who showed us strength, resilience, love and compassion for others.  She leaves behind her five children, Blair Ethier, Barb Orbeck, Darrell Ethier (Kelli), Debbie Ethier and Tammy Pocha; her grandchildren, Dallas Whitehead (Bailey), Matthew Armitstead (Shayna), Danielle, and Stephanie; as well as her great-grandchildren, Marleau, Violet, Hayden and Lilah. She held a special place in her heart for all her special fur babies.  She was predeceased by her parents; her brothers, Victor and Sid; her sister, Pearl; her grandson, Devin Whitehead; and her son-in-law Brad Orbeck.
