A search warrant was authorized and a subsequent search of the residence resulted in the following items being seized: crossbow, multiple CO2 style firearms, ammunition, multiple firearm accessories, bullet-proof vest, and a machete.

Charles was wanted after a violent assault on Jan. 7 in the Rural Municipality of Buckland.

Two men and a woman were in a vehicle when an altercation began. One of the men assaulted the others and took them into a forested area and pointed the gun at them.

The suspect shot the gun but did not injure anyone. The two victims then ran further into the bush to get away from the suspect but got lost.

To find the lost pair, officers deployed a drone and found the man in the woods and used the light on the drone to help the man find his way out of the forest.

After he was rescued, he was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A police dog was also called in to help track the woman, whom they later found in a remote area of the RM of Prince Albert.

After locating here, officers used snowmobiles to rescue her, and she was then taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Charles was subsequently charged with assault, pointing a gun, unauthorized possession of a prohibited/restricted weapon, and negligence causing bodily harm.
