Prince Albert Sharks Shine at Regina 2026 Winter Classic

The Prince Albert Sharks Swim Club delivered an impressive performance at the Regina 2026 Winter Classic Swim Meet, held in Regina from January 16–18, 2026. Despite having only 10 days of training since returning from the Christmas break, Sharks swimmers achieved outstanding results against strong competition.

Leading the way was Ethan E., who came first in the 50m and 100m Freestyle, finished second in the 50m Breaststroke, and earned third-place finishes in the 50m Butterfly and 50m Backstroke. He also achieved an AA qualifying time in the 50m Freestyle for the 15–16 & Open age group, marking a major milestone.

Mikaela A. had a strong all-around meet, placing 4th in the 50m Freestyle, 5th in the 200m Butterfly, and 6th in the 400m IM, 1500m Freestyle, and 100m Breaststroke. She also achieved A qualifying times in the 50m, 100m, and 1500m Freestyle.

Sophia W., placed third in the 100m Breaststroke, and Maia L., who earned third in the 100m Butterfly, fourth in the 50m Butterfly, and fifth in the 50m Freestyle.
Jamie C. finished sixth in the 50m Breaststroke and 100m Backstroke, while Ethan B. recorded personal best times in five events, demonstrating excellent progress.

Strong performances continued with Bella K., who achieved an A qualifying time in the 50m Freestyle and set personal bests in all her events, and Aubree D., who placed fifth in the 200m Breaststroke while also achieving personal bests across multiple races.

Head Coach Hazem Hussein praised the team’s effort, noting that the results reflect the swimmers’ dedication, resilience, and strong work ethic. “To see these performances after such a short return to training is a great indicator of the team’s commitment and potential moving forward.”

The Prince Albert Sharks Swim Club continues to build momentum as the season progresses, showcasing depth, determination, and a promising future.
