Gilbert Robert Halkett “Dominion” was born on February 7, 1954, in Prince Albert, SK, and passed away on January 13, 2026, in Prince Albert, SK at the age of 71 years. 

Gilbert is survived by his loving family, his long loving partner, Alice Constant of 40 years; his children, Shauna and her children Seth, Asia, Dustin, DaVonne; Conway & Courtney and their children Nevaeh, Lovely, Colson; Josephine; Courtney & Waylon; Chantelle & Klyde; Janine and her children Traeh, T.J., Traxton, Ameera; Dwight; Shavaun & CJ and Nathaniel; his siblings, Dougie (Ester), Lucy, Vicki, Bobby (Hilda), Phyllis (Sandy),John Boy, Lena, Henry (Pam); his in-laws, Sharon Mirasty, Evelyn Bird, Elizabeth Halkett, Ida & Wayne Gerard, Madeline Constant, Lillian Scott, Laura Contant, Percy Constant. 

He was predeceased by his father, Robert Halkett; his mother, Agnes Halkett; his brothers, Thomas M., Gordon, Samuel, Alex, Issac, Leonard; his brothers-in-law, John Henderson, Henry Joseph. 

The Wake Services for Gilbert will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2026; continued Thursday, January 15, 2026, and on Friday, January 16, 2026, at the White Hall, in Little Red River Reserve, SK. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at the White Hall, in Little Red River Reserve, SK, with Trevor Roberts officiating. Interment to follow at Little Red River Reserve Cemetery, in Little Red River Reserve, SK.
