Three people charged after armed robbery in Little Red River

Jan 13, 2026 | 10:03 AM

Two women and a man are in police custody after a truck was stolen at gunpoint in Little Red River several days ago.

Prince Albert RCMP were called to the community at 11 a.m. on Jan. 9 and learned two people had gone to a home armed with a shotgun and demanded the keys to the resident’s truck.

They then fled in the vehicle, which police found at 1:15 p.m. on the Sturgeon Lake First Nation.

When officers tried to pull over the stolen truck, the driver backed into a ditch and the occupants then ran on foot.

After a short foot pursuit, the driver and two passengers were arrested.

Karalynn Naytowhow, age 35, of Montreal Lake, 20-year-old Lacey Halkett-Turner of Little Red River and Clarence Turner, 40, of Sturgeon Lake all face theft charges.

Charges of break and enter and pointing a firearm were also laid against Naytowhow and Turner has charges of fleeing from police and resisting/obstructing a peace officer.

All three appeared in Prince Albert yesterday.

Prince Albert RCMP continue the investigation into the identity of one of the suspects from the armed robbery.
