George Russell Johnston, late of Mistawasis First Nation, SK, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at Mistawasis First Nation, SK. Russell is lovingly survived by his children, Joanne, Dayna Jo, Paulette (Orin); his special little girls, Hope Morissette, and Katie Johnston; his siblings, Marlene Daniels, Arlene (Barry) Longjohn; his sister in-law, Linda Norma Jean; his goddaughter Megan (Aubrey) Randall; his aunties, Verna, Louise, Maxine (Phil), Marilyn (Ernest); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Russell is predeceased by his wife Shirley (nee: Rilling); his parents, Frank and Margaret Johnston; his brothers, Irvin & Ivan Johnston; his brother-in-law, Henry Daniels; as well as uncles, aunties, and cousins.
