Dec 17, 2025 | 12:12 PM

The Play It Forward community-led fundraising campaign received another boost – this time from local business Lehner Electric Ltd. which made a $75,000 donation in support of the Lake Country Co-op Leisure Centre. (LCCLC)

In recognition of the contribution, the Lehner Electric name will be displayed below the scorekeeper’s boxes in Arena 1 and Arena 2.

The City of Prince Albert acknowledged the long-time business that has contributed to the city’ residential, commercial and institutional development over the years.

“The company’s work has supported modernization across Prince Albert, underscoring its reputation as a reliable contributor to essential community infrastructure,” a news release read.

The city added the family’s collective efforts through their involvement in education, youth athletics and volunteerism have also helped strengthen the community and created opportunities for young people across Prince Albert.

“This generous sponsorship reflects the Lehner family’s deep and longstanding commitment to Prince Albert,” said Councillor Dawn Kilmer, on behalf of the Play It Forward campaign. “Their support of the Lake Country Co-op Leisure Centre will benefit residents for decades, and we are proud to recognize their contribution within the new facility.”
