Dec 5, 2025 | 2:32 PM

For the first time this season, the Prince Albert Raiders are currently on a two game losing skid after two straight losses to the Medicine Hat Tigers. After one day off, the Raiders are now getting set for another first this season, three games in three nights, all on the road, and through a murderer’s row of teams as the Raiders take on the Calgary Hitmen Friday, the Red Deer Rebels on Saturday, and the Edmonton Oil Kings on Sunday.

The Raiders are coming into the game as now the third ranked team in the Eastern Conference, one point behind the Medicine Hat Tigers and six back of the Edmonton Oil Kings, but the Raiders have four games in hand over both. The Raiders have a record of 17-3-3 (Wins-Losses-Overtime losses) on the season.

The Raiders come into the weekend with the 18th ranked powerplay in the league, and worst in the Eastern Conference, at 20.7%. The Raiders penalty kill has also dropped down to 78.8% on the year.

Aiden Oiring still leads the Raiders in scoring this season with 9G-15A-24P, followed by Brayden Dube with 9G-14A-23P, and Riley Boychuk with 4G-18A-22P.

In goal for the Raiders, Michal Orsulak still has the best goals against average in the league at 2.24 despite his rough start in Medicine Hat. He also has a top five save percentage at 0.912, and a record of 9-2-3 including two shutouts on the season. Dimitri Fortin comes into the weekend with a 7-1-1 record, along with a 0.892 save percentage, a 2.87 goals against average, and one shutout on the season.

Friday @ Calgary

The Calgary Hitmen are coming into Friday’s action having rested since Sunday where they lost 4-3 at home to the Red Deer Rebels. That comes as Calgary’s sixth straight loss, including losses to Moose Jaw, three straight to Medicine Hat in regulation, overtime, and a shootout, and two losses to Saskatoon.

The Hitmen are ranked fifth in the Eastern Conference with a record of 12-8-4 on the year.

The Raiders and Hitmen have played once already this season back on October 31 when the Hitmen tied the game late and won 3-2 in overtime in Prince Albert.

Calgary’s powerplay is 13th in the league, right in the middle, at 23.4%. The Hitmen have the second best penalty kill in the league though at 84.6%.

Leading the Hitmen in scoring this season is Pittsburgh Penguins seventh round pick Kale Dach with 12G-15A-27P. Brandon Gorzynski sits second with 11G-13A-24P, and tied for third are Ethan Moore and former Raider Harrison Lodewyk with 7G-11A-18P.

In goal, the Hitmen have split time between Eric Tu and Aidan Hesse. Tu has had a small majority in games played with a 8-6-2 record, a 0.904 save percentage, and a 2.59 goals against average, and one shutout this year. Hesse has a record of 2-1-2 this year in ten appearances, with a 0.844 save percentage, and a 4.06 goals against average.

Saturday @ Red Deer

Red Deer comes into the weekend in the eighth and final playoff spot of the Eastern Conference, sitting two points ahead of the Regina Pats. The Rebels have a record of 10-12-3 on the year.

The Rebels will head to Edmonton on Friday to play the Oil Kings before Saturday’s matchup with the Raiders. Before that, the Rebels have won their last two games in a row, 5-1 over Lethbridge, and 4-3 over Calgary.

This is the second time the Raiders will play the Rebels this year, with the Raiders winning back in October 4-1.

The Rebels powerplay sits 15th in the league coming into the weekend at 23.4%. On the penalty kill, the Rebels are 15th in the league at 73.1%.

Leading the Rebels in scoring is Beckett Hamilton with 10G-16A-26P. Following him is Jaxon Fuder with 7G-17A-24P, and Sam Drancak sits third with 11G-10A-21P.

Since the trade of Chase Wutzke, the Rebels have run with the tandem of Matthew Kondro and Peyton Shore. Kondro has a record of 5-3-2, a 0.893 save percentage, and a 3.24 goals against average. As for Shore, 2-4-1 on the year, a 0.879 save percentage, and a 3.72 save percentage.

Sunday @ Edmonton

The Oil Kings come into the weekend as the top team in the Eastern Conference with a record of 20-6-2 this season, just six points ahead of the Raiders.

The Oil Kings have Saturday off, but they will host the Red Deer Rebels on Friday. Before that though, the Oil Kings have won their last two games, 6-5 over Saskatoon and 5-2 over Red Deer, but they lost the two games prior to finish off their B.C. road swing.

This will be the second meeting of the season between the Raiders and Oil Kings. The last time was in Prince Albert on October 18, where the Oil Kings won 3-2 in overtime.

On special teams, the Oil Kings powerplay is ranked 14th in the league at 23%. Their penalty kill sits sixth in the league at an even 80% despite giving up the second most chances in the league with 115.

Czechian import and Toronto Maple Leafs fourth rounder Miroslav Holinka sits tied for third in league scoring. He also leads the Oil Kings with 14G-24A-38P. Lukas Sawchyn is behind him with 12G-23A-35P, and Max Curran sits third with 11G-22A-33P.

In goal, the Oil Kings have split starts between Ethan Simcoe and Parker Snell. Simcoe has one extra game played with a 11-3-1 record, 0.904 save percentage, and a 2.69 goals against average. Snell has one less game but has a shutout, a 9-3-1 record, and a 0.896 save percentage, and a 2.88 goals against average.
