Roman Tyshynski
1956 – 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Roman Peter Tyshynski, who died peacefully at the age of 69. Born and raised in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, he spent his life rooted in the community he loved. He worked proudly as a heavy-duty mechanic for the Department of Highways in Prince Albert, dedicating 35 years of service until his retirement.
He is remembered with love by his children—Ryan Tyshynski (Jennifer), Aaron Tyshynski (Crystal), and Whitney Tyshynski, by his cherished grandchildren: Nicklaus, Sullivan, Emmett, Maya, and Aaden, his brother-in-law Bernie McDonald, his nephews Brent McDonald and Darcy McDonald (Tanya) as well as his life-long friend Phil Bourque.
He is also reunited with his beloved wife, Cathy Suchorab (2024); his mother, Annie Tyshynski Papp (née Shinkaruk) (2025); his sister Bernice McDonald (2012) and his father, Dmytro Tyshynski (1974). He also had a deep love for his dogs—Jill, who remains faithfully by the family’s side, and Jack, who has already passed on.
He found joy in following the WHL, cheering on the Prince Albert Raiders, and supporting the Saskatchewan Roughriders—teams he followed with unwavering loyalty. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, carried forward through the stories, laughter, and love he shared.
Roman Peter Tyshynski leaves behind a legacy of resilience, devotion, and family. May he rest in peace.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
