Lisa Anne Amos, born June 17, 1967 in Regina, SK, passed away on August 21, 2025 after a courageous four-year battle with cancer. She was 58 years young.
Raised in Regina, Lisa moved to Saskatoon briefly, but made her home in Prince Albert for more than 35 years. She raised her family, built lifelong friendships, and pursued her passions with remarkable dedication.
Lisa is survived by her three children, Shaina Ledoux, Haille Amos, and Logan Amos; her mother, Jane Amos; and her siblings, Martin Amos, Lori Chernoff, and Gregory Amos. She was predeceased by her father, Gerald Amos. Her extended family and many dear friends will continue to carry her love and memory forward.
Lisa was a true NOD girl growing up in North Regina, attending McDermid and Dover Elementary and Robert Usher Collegiate, where she made lifelong friendships through athletics, the good old 80’s house and bush parties, and cruising Albert Street in her epic El Camino or VW Rabbit. Living out on her acreage sometimes meant she was farther away from her Regina circle, but it became her greatest joy, a gathering place where every visit was a celebration filled with beach volleyball, swimming, hot tubbing, trampolining, and reminiscing around the fire pit until the sun rose.
Lisa worked at Sasktel for a time, making numerous lifelong friends. Afterwards, she spent 13 years at the pulp mill before following her heart into a new chapter: building her dream of a purebred Siberian Husky kennel, Shapali Siberians. What began as a passion quickly became her life’s work. Her devotion to the breed, her integrity as a breeder, and her kindness within the dog community earned her respect and admiration worldwide. With dogs carrying the Shapali name in homes and show rings across the globe, her legacy lives on in every pawprint.
Lisa will be remembered for her determination, warmth, and the way she touched the lives of so many; both two-legged and four-legged. Though her journey ended too soon, her spirit, laughter, and love for her family and her dogs will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew her.
In keeping with Lisa’s wishes, no funeral will be held. Instead, a celebration of her life will take place next summer, where family and friends can gather to honor her memory.
