Leslie Allan Hegedus

April 7, 1939 – August 17, 2025

 

Les  passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at Pineview Terrace in Prince Albert, SK where he had resided for several years.

He was born in Wakaw, SK and lived most of his life in Prince Albert, SK.

Les had a 36 year career working for the Government of Saskatchewan as a draftsman.  He enjoyed many years of retirement with his favourite activities being cheering his 4 grandchildren on at hockey games, spending time fishing at his Candle Lake cottage, having coffee with “the old coots” at various Prince Albert coffee shops and spending time at home in his recliner watching TV with his cat Missy in his lap.

Les was predeceased by his wife Lorraine, brothers Kelly and Charles, as well as his parents Julia and Louis.

He will be lovingly remembered by his son Allan (Beverley) of Regina, SK; daughter, Debra (Trevor Featherstone) of Prince Albert, SK; grandchildren Rylan Hobson (Niki) of Warman, SK, Cole Hobson of Kinistino, SK, Brooke Hobson (Gavin Proeh) of Chicago, Illinois, and Kennedy Hobson (Alex Regehr) of Saskatoon, SK; as well as great grandson, Oliver Hobson, of Kinistino, SK.  He is also survived by his sister Marg Kusch (Maurice) of Prince Albert, SK, brother John Hegedus (Pat) of St. Albert, AB, and sister in law Donna Hegedus of Prince Albert, SK. along with numerous nieces and nephews and other extended family.

A private family service and interment will be held at a later date.
