It is with great sadness that the family of Arthur “Merv” Mervin Laycock, born December 18, 1941, in Saltcoats, SK, announce his passing on May 24, 2025, in Prince Albert, SK.

To cherish his memory, Merv leaves behind his beloved wife, Lyla née Lens; sons, Scott and children, Gage (Fallyn) and Storm (Rand), and Terry (Pamela) and children, Alexa and Ella; great-grandchildren, Beau and Orion; siblings-in-law, Sonja Herdin, Dale (Maureen) Lens, Brian (Louise) Martin; as well as many nieces, nephews, treasured friends and loved ones.

Merv is predeceased by his father, Mathew Robinson Laycock; Mother, Hazel Laycock née Brady; daughter-in-law, Jodi Laycock; siblings, Fran, Irene Maddaford, and Ivan; and siblings-in-law, Edwin Herdin, Doreen (Adelard) Blair, and Mildred (Ken) Lens.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on August 23, 2025, at Candle Lake Hall, in Candle Lake, SK. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be directed to Rose Garden Hospice, https://www.rosegardenhospice.ca/ , or Boreal Healthcare Foundation, https://borealhealthcare.ca/
