Geraldine “Gerri” Sewap was born on February 25, 1970, in Flin Flon, MB, and passed away on August 15, 2025, in Prince Albert, SK, at the age of 55 years.

Gerri is survived by her loving family, her spouse, Robert Michel; her children, Rusty Ballantyne, Robby Ballantyne, Tomori McKenzie; her stepdaughter, Darianna; her siblings, Clifford (Lorna) Sewap, Darrell, Tommy, Malcolm. A, Richard, Allan Sewap; her grandchildren, Sebby (Sebastian) Ballantyne, Sarah, Iverson, Kovie, Kaleb, Kaori, Kyrie; nieces and nephews; her uncle, Hilliard Sewap (Carmen); her aunties, Ida, Donna, Lydia, Antonia Sewap, Ida Dorion, Marie Merasty; numerous relatives in Pelican Narrows and Denare Beach, as well as numerous beloved students she taught throughout the years and her colleagues.

She was predeceased by her parents, Angus and Minnie (Mary) Sewap; her grandparents, Robert and Sarah Sewap, Philip (Emma) Sewap, Walter (Maggie) Sewap; her uncle, Malcolm Sewap, Pierre, Jack, Allan, and Joseph Sewap; her aunties, Elizabeth, Maggie, Bernice, Jemima, Charlotte; Her sister-in-law, Connie Sewap; her grandchild, Jaivyn McKenzie; her cousin, Shirley, Claire, Gordon, Rodd, Lil Dave Sewap, Abigail Ballantyne, Sheenalyn and Hillard Jr. Sewap; her nieces, Cloris and Savannah Sewap.

The Prayer Service for Gerri will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Monday, August 18, 2025, at River Park Funeral Home, in Prince Albert, SK, with Rev. Richard Custer officiating. The Wake Service will be held on Monday, August 18, 2025, at the St. Bartholomew Anglican Church, in Pelican Narrows, SK. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at the St. Bartholomew Anglican Church, in Pelican Narrows, SK, with Rev. Ricard Custer officiating.
