Accused man in encampment death makes court appearance

The man accused of the second-degree murder of 36-year-old Lyle Ballantyne near a Prince Albert homeless encampment has been identified as Calvin J. Jobb, age 56.
Jobb made his first court appearance in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Tuesday morning and will remain in custody for now.

His next appearance is scheduled for August 19, at which time a show cause or bail hearing in King’s Bench court will be sought.
