Anne Margaret Philp was born to Lawrence and Judy Philp on October 24, 1975, in Shellbrook, Saskatchewan. She passed away June 16, 2025, at the Prince Albert Rose Garden Hospice at the age of 49 years old, following a short yet courageous 8 month battle with cancer. Anne grew up on the family farm west of town and attended school in Shellbrook. Anne loved the farm and the animals and spent hours outside with her grandparents, Don and Margaret Philp, who lived in the same yard. As a child, Anne also traveled with them on wagon trains throughout the province.
Anne is survived by her two children, Dylan Colby Roode and Danielle Morgan Roode. Anne’s children brought her so much joy throughout her life. Dylan lived with Anne until she passed, and he lovingly and compassionately cared for her throughout her illness.
Anne had many different jobs throughout her life but found her calling when she completed her Continuing Care Assistant course and began working at the Herb Bassett Home in Prince Albert. She was loved and respected by her colleagues and the residents of the home.
When she wasn’t caring for others at her work, Anne spent time crafting and creating home décor. She attended craft sales where she sold her creations and enjoyed getting to know her customers and other people who shared her passion for crafts. Anne also loved to hike and spent many hours exploring trails in the Prince Albert area.
Anne is survived by her children Dylan Roode and Danielle Roode; parents Lawrence and Judy Philp; brother David (Nicole) Philp and their family Marcail Philp, and Caleb Philp.
She was predeceased by her grandparents Don and Margaret Philp and Bernice Marshall.
Anne’s family is very appreciative of the care she received throughout her battle with cancer.
