Patricia Keller

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia Loreen Keller (née Kennerley) who departed this life peacefully and surrounded by love.

Patricia, known by those closest to her as Pat, was the heart of her family—steadfast, and nurturing. Her gentle nature and quiet resilience left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She delighted in children of all ages, and found her greatest happiness in her family, especially her grandchildren, and the company of those she loved. Mom devoted endless hours to the lives of little ones often making lifelong connections. Many of her years were spent working at Tiny Tot Daycare where she formed lifelong friendships and often spoke of the many children that had attended there.

Her door was always open, and her kindness extended far beyond family—welcoming friends, neighbours, and even strangers with the same generosity of spirit. Her wisdom was practical, her humour often unexpected, and her love unconditional. She enjoyed the past nine years living at Points West Retirement Community and considered many staff and residents as extended family. She especially appreciated the many hours spent playing cards and visiting with friends.

Patricia was predeceased by her beloved husband, Lloyd Keller; her brother, Alan Kennerley; her sisters, Esther Richards and Marjorie Hoffman; her mother, Vernetta Griffith; and her father, Thomas Kennerley.

She is survived by her sister, Shirley Cassidy (Ron), special sister-in-law, Marilyn Block; her children, Tim Keller (Nancy) and Lynda Gwilliam (David); her beloved grandchildren, Carly (Reg), Brady (Kennady), Kristie (Taylor), Rylan (Natesa), Megan (Curtis), and Peyton; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Logan, Ruby, Easton, Addison, August, and Lennon.

Patricia will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Though she has left this world, her memory lives on in the hearts of all of those who loved her and were lucky enough to be loved by her.

A private family celebration of life will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Patricia’s memory to a charity of choice.
