Doreen Enberg
1938-2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Doreen Margaret Enberg (nee Lemieux) of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, who departed this life peacefully on Monday, June 16, 2025 in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan at the age of 87 years old.
Doreen was predeceased by her beloved husband, Lloyd Enberg, with whom she shared many cherished years. A devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, and caring friend, Doreen was a pillar of strength and kindness in the lives of those who knew her.
She leaves behind her two sons, Trevor and Dean, and her daughter-in-law Launa, who were her pride and joy. Her bonus grand children, Jordan, Josh (Beth), Brooklyn, and Jacob were treasured additions to her family. Her nephew Darren and his wife Mel were very special to her and their dedication to Mom is so appreciated by the family. Her extended family also included Launa’s brother and sister, Lee and Bonnie, and nieces, Lyndsey and MacKenzie and their children. She was also loved by many other nephews and nieces as well as her living siblings and in-laws. Her deep love for her family was evident in everything she did, and her warmth, generosity, and unwavering support will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She was born in Barachois, Quebec and spent her early years in Longlac and Marathon, Ontario, before moving with her family to Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. A long-time resident of Prince Albert, Doreen was deeply rooted in her community and was active in the local bowling and golf scenes. She lived a very strong and active life until shortly before her death. Notably, she got her first hole-in-one in 2024 and was an award winning bowler in her league in 2024 and 2025. Whether through quiet acts of compassion or shared moments of laughter and wisdom, she touched many lives. Her gentle spirit and loving nature will be missed more than words can express.
The family would like to sincerely thank all of the staff at The Good Shepherd Villas for their care of Mom in her final months.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date in accordance with her wishes. In lieu of flowers, donations in Doreen’s memory can be made to Rose Garden Hospice of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, https://www.rosegardenhospice.ca/ 500 38th Street West, Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, S6W 0A3
Dad always told me, “Don’t you cry when you’re down”
But mum, there’s a tear every time that I blink
Oh, I’m in pieces, it’s tearing me up, but I know
A heart that’s broke is a heart that’s been loved
You were an angel in the shape of my mum
When I fell down, you’d be there holding me up
You got to see the person I have become
Spread your wings as you go
And I hope that I see the world as you did, ’cause I know
A life with love is a life that’s been lived
