1967 – 2025
The family of Roxanne McLeod (Thompson), affectionately known as “The Kid,” are heartbroken to announce the passing of a beautiful woman—inside and out—far too soon, on May 28th, 2025, in her 58th year at Rose Garden Hospice, Prince Albert, SK.
Roxanne was predeceased by her parents, Ruth and Russell Thompson and her special nanny, Mildred Irwin.
Roxanne was born in Welland and grew up in Fonthill, Ontario. For the last 30 years she worked and lived in various parts of Saskatchewan. Roxanne was a remarkable woman , full of talents and spirit. She was musical, artistic, quick-witted, and sassy, with a sense of humour that made her a joy to be around. She was a fun and loyal friend, the best little sister, a proud momma, a super auntie, a devoted daughter, and a loving and supportive wife. Roxanne served her community and her country with pride and dedication as a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, retiring after 25 years of service.
She leaves behind her beloved husband, Chad; her cherished children, Erin Impey and Conley McLeod. She will be deeply missed by her brother, Richard (Pat ) Thompson; her nephews, Ken and Sean Thompson; her sister, Amy Brodie and many cousins and friends.
Roxanne embraced life fully and brought joy to everyone who knew her. Her vibrant spirit and infectious laughter will never be forgotten.
The McLeod family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Rose Garden Hospice for all the incredible heart-felt care Roxanne received during her final weeks. Cremation has taken place, and, as per Roxanne’s wishes, no funeral service will be held.
