Our beloved sister June Anne Parker passed away peacefully on May 15th, 2025 after a brief but courageous battle with acute leukaemia. June was predeceased by her father James (1984), her mother Florence (2019), and her brother Jim (2019). She is survived by two sons Brian (Tracey) Briere and family, and Michael (Tina) Briere and family. She is also survived by her siblings Wendy Reid and family, Pam (Gerry) Styre and family, Jack (Nancy) Parker and family, Jeff (Jacque) Parker and family and Jill (Mark) Phaneuf and family, and Jim’s son Dean (Tawnya) Parker and family. She will also be missed by her best friend of 45 years Yvonne (Brian) and family. June spent much time in the summers with Yvonne and her girls at Candle Lake and she looked forward to spring each year as it meant lake season was just around the corner.
We would like to thank Dr. Ekpenike and the wonderful staff at the Prince Albert Co-operative Health clinic who gave June exceptional care these last few months. We would also like to thank the staff at the RUH ICU and oncology units who treated our sister with the highest level of care while considering her dignity. We can not say enough about the care she received during her brief battle with cancer.
In retirement June loved playing cards, knitting, crocheting, baking and being around pets but she was happiest when a lake was nearby.
In June’s memory, in lieu of flowers please make a donation to your local SPCA or animal shelter in June’s name and also please consider donating blood to Canadian Blood Services as this was literally June’s lifeline the last months of her life.
At June’s request there will be no service, rather a private family gathering will be held at a later date.
Having a sister is like a having a best friend you can’t get rid of. June will be remembered lovingly.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Saskatoon Funeral Home.
