A hospital to build, for the sick and the weak
It’s long overdue, for our people who seek.
The Mayor was shocked at the gift he received
He knew the town’s people would be very pleased.

So he gathered a group of great men, far and wide
The blue bloods, the rich men, and even their brides.
They went door to door, will you give, they did seek
To such a great cause for the ill and the meek.
 

The people obliged in good spirit and glee
To help out their neighbours and their family.
The building now stands with many additions
And fundraisers worked now for four generations.

Thankful we are to those women of vision
To their dream of a hospital, many have given.
We all have a chance to give generously
At Christmas, to small ones and big charities.

So get out your cash or your credit card
And give to good causes it’s not very hard.
If not for today, your Will you do make.
Call up your lawyer and book a set date.

Bequests are so simple, for your charity
The tax break will benefit your family.
