Domremy Poker Rally
Despite the colder temperatures, the Domremy hall was once again abuzz with riders and non-riders alike. They had all come out to participate in the 5th poker rally being put on by the Domremy & District Recreation Board.
This year, the Poker Rally volunteers began preparing for this event in October. It all began with securing prizes for the large raffle that would be held over a period of six
weeks. Numerous volunteers spent their time collecting door prizes, rider prizes, and silent auction items. Others helped by promoting the event through print and on-line media. Lastly, our kitchen crew readied themselves for the crowd that would come out to enjoy a hot meal and visiting.
Finally, the trail was prepped. All of their hard work came together on Saturday, February 22.
The Poker Rally Committee and the Domremy Rec Board would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who volunteered to make this our fifth successful poker
rally. No words can express the gratitude that we feel seeing our community come together for this event. We would like to thank all of those who manned the bar, the
registration table, the hands, the large raffle table, the 50/50 table, ladies' raffle and the fuel stop. We would also like to thank all of the volunteers for the kitchen, because their hard work fueled us all for the day! Lastly, we would like to thank the Bear Lake Blizzrds for once again giving us the use of their warm-up shack and the Domremy Co-Op for providing the hot-dogs and drinks.
