Police warn of ceremonial gunshots this evening

The Prince Albert Police and the city are warning the public that they may hear gunshots this evening but not to be concerned.

The police said that four rounds will be discharged around 6 pm as the mataw samogamik ceremony begins at 1350 15th Avenue West.

The ceremony is being hosted by the Prince Albert Indian and Metis Friendship Centre at the Bernice Sayese Centre.

The public is coming together to learn, dance, share stories and laugh.
