Judy Lee (née Anderson) Mason was born in Prince Albert, SK, on January 25, 1950, to Wilfrid and Patricia Anderson of Northside, SK, their third of nine children.
She grew up in a 3 room log house 2-3/4 miles West of Northside, SK, and went to school in Christopher Lake, SK.
Judy met Jim when she was about 14 years old, Jim and brothers were friends with the Anderson family. They were married on November 5, 1966, in Sturgeon Valley, SK.
They resided and farmed on the Howard Mason homestead until they moved to Christopher Lake, SK, in 2010, and than to River Breeze in Prince Albert, SK, in 2023.
Judy loved to garden, bake, cook and sew. She was a farm wife, bus driver and an amazing quilter. Most of her family, on both sides, have a quilt from her; either custom made, a baby quilt, or made from fortrel from Grandma Mason’s dresses.
Judy loved to watch curling and traveled from Cranbrook and as far as Halifax, watching her sisters curling at every event she could get to.
She loved her husband of 58 years, Jim, her children, and especially her grandchildren. She was always looking out for the rest of the family. She was an amazing mom.
Judy spent her last days in hospice care at Rose Garden Hospice in Prince Albert, SK. We are so honored for that to have been where she spent her last days and we thank the staff there for caring for her with such compassion and respect.
