Leslie Wayne Ballantyne “Skipper” “Whush” was born on February 22, 1965, in Flin Flon, MB, and passed away on March 2, 2025, in Prince Albert, SK, at the age of 60 years.

Leslie leaves to cherish his memory, his siblings, Jack, Jackie, Theodore, Eric, Edmund (Michelle), Kathy (Kelvin), Desmond; his uncles, Bernard Peterson, Morris Ballantyne; his friends, Roland Bear, Darcy Morin, George E. Morin, Lucy Merasty, Corny McDonald, Eliza McDonald, Lynda Bird, Conrad Bear Sr., Johnny D. Bear, Tom Merasty, Glen Merasty, Gary Natewayes, Emile Daylight, Hilliard Bear; numerous other family, friends, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Jonas & Margaret Ballantyne; his brothers, Franklin and Donald Ballantyne; his nieces & nephews, Heather Ballantyne, Nevaeh Ballantyne, Bridgette Morin, Gage Morin, Kiefer Morin; his grandparents, David & Charlotte Merasty, Herbert Peterson, Thomas & Isabelle Ballantyne; his aunts and uncles, Lena Merasty, Emil & Elsie Merasty, Stan & Liz Merasty, Isaac Merasty, Angus & Angelique Merasty, Sam & Harry Ballantyne, Margaret Ross, Adele & Paul McCallum.

The Prayer Service for Leslie will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at River Park Funeral Home, in Prince Albert, SK, with Margaret Ferchuk officiating. The Wake Services will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, and Thursday, March 6, 2025, at the Multi-Purpose Building, in Sandy Bay, SK. The Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Friday, March 7, 2025, at the Multi-Purpose Building, in Sandy Bay, SK, with Fr. Josi Chinthamalla, MSFS, officiating.
