December 13, 1953 – November 30, 2024

Mary H. Strudwick late of Nokomis, SK was born on December 13th, 1953 in Grenfell, SK. Mary was a loving mother to 6 children, 14 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Mary passed away on November 30th, 2024 at the age of 70. Mary will be deeply missed by her husband, Daryl of 44 years.

Mary was the youngest child of Jack and Betty Bathgate. Mary grew up and attended most of her school in Kitimat, BC. Mary eventually moved to La Ronge, SK where she met and married Daryl and they started their family. In 1990, the family relocated to Vancouver Island, where they spent eight years before moving to Nokomis in 1998. Mary worked briefly at the Post Office and Cathy’s Place before starting at the Nokomis Health Centre where she stayed until 2019 when she retired.

Mary is survived by her husband Daryl; children Jason Strudwick (Tina), Kalie Hendry (Tim), Janie McNichol (Ian), Leigha Strudwick (Quintin), Mallory Hendry (Adam) and Daryl Strudwick. Grandchildren Dylan, Rylan, Tanyan, Caiden, Maddox, Laityn, Rylee, Owen, Liam, Jaxson, Maguire, Kinslee, Cameron, Kennedy, and great-grandchild Austyn. Sister, Hazel Eddy, Anne Hill (Malcolm), brother-in-law Harley Strudwick (Allyce), and sister-in-law Sharon Isherwood.

Mary was pre-deceased by her parents Jack and Betty Bathgate and niece Melanie Hill.

A Memorial Service will take place at Nokomis Centennial Hall on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. with lunch and fellowship to follow.
