Avery Getz
1996 ~ 2024
It is with unimaginable heartbreak that we announce the sudden and tragic passing of our beloved son, partner, father, and brother Avery Reid Thomas Getz. Born on August 26, 1996, in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Avery left this world far too soon on December 3, 2024, at the age of 28 years.
Avery’s life was filled with love and joy, and his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him. He leaves behind his cherished partner, Jade Fisher; and his two sons, Ashtyn and Oliver Getz, who will grow up hearing stories of their father’s incredible spirit and boundless love. He is deeply mourned by his devoted parents, Ray and Christina Getz; his loving sister, Mandi Getz (Tyler Schlichemeyer); and an extended circle of family and friends who adored him.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, Ken and Pat Getz and Mervin and Lorna Braaten; his uncle, Gary Braaten; and his cousin, Todd Warder, who now welcome him with open arms in heaven.
Avery’s life was a testament to kindness and a reflection of his deep roots. His love for farming and the land, his generous heart, and his radiant smile brought light and warmth to everyone he met. Though his time with us was far too short, his impact was immeasurable.
In our grief, we take solace in the beauty of his spirit. Like an eagle soaring free, Avery now lives on in our dreams and memories, unbounded and eternal.
