It is with profound sadness that the family of Audrey Lorrie Sass (Middlebrook), beloved wife of Lorne Sass, announce her passing on November 5, 2024 at the age of 58 years.
Audrey was born on October 1, 1966 in Prince Albert, SK. Audrey attended school in Prince Albert and graduated from St. Mary High School in 1984. Audrey commenced work at the Bank of Montreal after high school. Audrey and Lorne were married on November 12, 1988. They had two children – Landon born in 1991 and Brielle in 1994. Audrey comes from the Haydukewich lineage; she naturally loved all activities at Candle Lake and being at their cabin. Audrey treasured the beautiful sunsets at Candle Lake. Many celebrations and relaxation were enjoyed at the cabin. It was a place for reflection and appreciation of life. She enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with family and friends. Audrey helped Lorne on the family farm for many years until her health no longer permitted her to do so. She was always supportive of Lorne’s commitment to the farm in Weirdale.
Audrey was supportive of Lorne’s desire to curl with his buddies. She loved cheering Lorne on and always was his biggest fan. She also encouraged him to hunt with his dad. They enjoyed taking family and winter vacations where Audrey could enjoy the beaches and warm weather and the occasional tequila!
Throughout the time of doctors’ appointments and healing, Lorne demonstrated what love and commitment really means in a marriage. His devotion to Audrey was exemplary.
