Nov 1, 2024 | 1:52 PM

Two weapons calls, four possible impaired drivers and two hit-and-runs.

Those were among the 80 calls responded to by Prince Albert Police, between 5:00 p.m. on Thursday and 7:00 a.m. Friday morning.

Among the more serious of the calls was a report of a man with a knife in the 800 block of 13th Street West. He was not located.

Police also received a report of a possible gunshot in the 800 block of 15th Avenue East, but officers were unable to confirm the report.

Five individuals were reported missing, with one returned safely last night.

At 1:57 a.m., a single-vehicle crash occurred at 15th Street East and 15th Avenue East, and involved a 39-year-old woman. A blood sample was obtained, and charges are pending the results.

Between 5:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m., there were two reported hit and runs. In one carse, a blue truck collided with an intoxicated pedestrian in the 900 block of 17th Street West. Injuries are non-life-threatening.

The other call involved a collision at 2nd Avenue West and 28th Street West, that resulted in damage to a sign and black debris was found but no vehicle.

Officers also responded to 14 disturbances across the city, nine calls involving intoxicated individuals, and there three reports were received through the reported an impaired driver program.

The response on social media to Halloween night was very positive.

The legendary decorated home on 15th Avenue East, owned by Dennis Addams, had over 2,000 trick or treaters, and many stopped for a quick selfie.

Another woman shared experiences of people barbecuing and giving out hot dogs on top of treat bags and having fire pits to keep the young ones warm.

Hundreds of brave visitors went through a haunted house at Carlton Park Hall, and some businesses also teamed up and held a sort of block party and haunted house at the corner of 28th Street East and 15th Avenue.
