Woman arrested following collision near Cornerstone

A 24-year-old woman is in custody after fleeing the scene of an accident.

The two-vehicle collision happened at around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of 10th Avenue East and 15th Street East, near Tipi Fuel and Convenience.

Prince Albert Police, Prince Albert Fire and Parkland Ambulance provided assistance to the driver of one of the vehicles, a red SUV, who was later transported to Victoria Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the other vehicle, a black SUV, fled the scene on foot after the accident and was tracked down and arrested a short time later. The 24-year-old woman, who was not identified, was charged under the Traffic Safety Act.
