Robert Gordon Bueckert was born to Peter and Tina Bueckert on October 24, 1956 and passed away September 27, 2024.
Always called Bob, Bobby or Tex, he was the baby of the family and was always in love with big toys and big trucks; didn’t matter whether it was a dump truck, tractor, grader, etc. but always his first love was trucks and then truck driving.
Bob attended Henry Kelsey Elementary and Riverview Tech high school in Saskatoon and took on various courier jobs after high school; always with the end goal of being a long haul trucker. Bob successfully attained his 1-A licence and got a job with Kindersley Trucking to begin his long haul trucking career. He was happy, although he still wanted to own his own rig. Bob was an owner/operator for many years, living his dream, then he sold his rig and continued to work as a company driver for JBM Logistics until he retired. Home base was always Saskatoon until, just prior to his retirement, he moved to Leroy, SK and lived there until his passing.
You were a good loving Son, Brother, Uncle and Cousin and we will miss you always. Until we meet again on the other side.
Robert is survived by his sister, Shirley (Garry) Junop of Saskatoon, SK; his nieces Tracy (Peter) of Smeaton, SK and Bev (Glenn) of Martensville, SK; grand nieces Katherine (Cody) of Saskatoon, SK. and Shayla of Oshawa, ON and grand nephew Ryan of Penticton, BC; Uncle Johnny Hildebrand, Saskatoon, SK; Aunt Ann Bueckert of Saskatoon, SK and many cousins and their families. Bob was predeceased by his parents, his grandparents, and numerous aunts and uncles.
Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 1:00pm at First Mennonite Church, 418 Queen Street, Saskatoon. Western attire if desired. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made in Bob’s memory to Heart & Lung Association of Saskatchewan.
