It is with heavy hearts and cherished memories that we announce the passing of Paulyne Boudreault. After a courageous battle with cancer, she passed away at home near loved ones on October 1st, 2023.
Born on December 10th, 1944 in Spiritwood, Saskatchewan, she was the daughter of Jean-Baptiste Boudreault and Therese Bedard. Paulyne was predeceased by her parents and youngest brother, Alphonse. She will be forever loved and remembered by her friends and family, including her brothers, Yvon (Danielle) and Raymond, as well as her sister-in-law and dear friend, Jocelyne.
Family was paramount to Paulyne and although she did not have children of her own, she expressed her affection for her many nieces and nephews with thoughtful gifts. Paulyne also enjoyed knitting, telling jokes, camping trips by the lake, and spending time at the cabin playing endless games of Skip-Bo. She also had an adventurous spirit that led her to travel and live abroad in her younger years. Sharing her adventures in Europe and California where she acquired dual citizenship always brought a smile to her face.
Before her diagnosis, Paulyne was an avid reader with a big bookshelf, ranging from romance novels to Spanish guides. She also found great joy in keeping up to date with current events and celebrity news. Moreover, Paulyne would often stay up late watching movies, which was a comforting presence in the quiet hours of the night.
Beginning her career as a hairdresser, Paulyne later transitioned into the role of a caring continuing care aid where her work touched the lives of many. She also held a dream close to her heart—opening her own care home where she could provide comfort and support to those in need. Although this dream remained unfulfilled, her passion for caring and her desire to make a difference in the lives of others is evident.
Paulyne was a beacon of love, illuminating our lives with her presence. Her departure leaves a void, but we find comfort in the memories she gifted us and the love she shared unconditionally.
The family of Paulyne Boudreault warmly invites family and friends to a luncheon on October 11th, 2024.
