Cocaine and cash seized after traffic stop north of Prince Albert
Two men from Saskatoon are facing over a dozen charges, in connection to an incident that happened Monday afternoon north of Prince Albert.
At approximately 2:30 p.m. Saskatchewan RCMP’s La Ronge Crime Reduction Team (CRT) stopped an SUV for aggressive driving. Officers then arrested the driver and a passenger.
Upon further investigation, officers seized a firearm, nearly $12,000 cash, ammunition, and a quantity of packaged cocaine and cannabis from the SUV. Following an additional search, officers seized a quantity of cocaine from one of the suspects.
The two men are facing multiple charges including possession for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine, possession of the proceeds of crime over $5,000, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
