Trial dates have now been set for a Prince Albert court case involving multiple complaints of confinement and sexual assault.

As per pre-trial discussions on Friday at Court of King’s Bench, Gary Janvier will be tried between Feb. 12 and Feb. 14, 2025.

Janvier, who was 33 at the time of his arrest in February of last year, has previously entered not guilty pleas to a number of serious charges including sexual assault, forcible confinement, assault with a weapon, and resisting a peace officer. All three incidents happened on the same day.

The first report came from the 1800 Block of Central Ave, and involved both a sexual assault and assault with a weapon.

Hours later, police were called to a business in the 2600 Block of Second Ave. W. A woman reported a man forced her into a room and assaulted her before fleeing.

Based on the information provided, officers were able to determine the man had the same description as the morning incident.

Then roughly 90 minutes after the second complaint, police then received another report of a sexual assault. This was at a business in the area and was followed by a report of voyeurism.

Janvier was found by police shortly after and arrested.
