Raiders to celebrate life of beloved fan Trevor LaPlante during home opener

It’s been two months since the tragic death of Prince Albert’s own Trevor LaPlante, and the community is still mourning the loss of a man that brought smiles to the people of Prince Albert.

With the start of the 2024-25 hockey season coming up this weekend, LaPlante has been on the minds of hockey fans around the community as the Prince Albert Raiders look to open their season at home on Friday.

LaPlante was a well known Raiders fan as well as a former employee at Burger King and then later McDonald’s. To honour his passing, the Raiders announced on Monday that they will be donating some of the proceeds from Friday’s 50/50 towards the Ronald McDonald House charity in LaPlante’s name.
