John Bodnarchuk has been coming to the Prince Albert Polka Fest since it first began and he told paNOW what keeps making him come back.

“I like meeting new people and also seeing some familiar ones,” he said. “I’ve been polka dancing all my life and I enjoy it, it’s fun.”

The event got underway on Friday afternoon and it wraps up on Saturday night with the last act taking the stage at 7:00 p.m.

Lillian and her dance partner came all the way from Regina for the event and she said they travel all over the province attending different festivals.

“We just love polka,” she said. “We do a lot of dancing all over in Regina, Danceland, Yorkton, pretty much wherever there’s a dance happening.”
