Louis Ole Larson

Louis (Ole) Larson, formerly of Birch Hills, SK, passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 10, 2024 in Edmonton. He was 87 years old.
Ole is survived by his children Ronald, Michael, Debora, Theresa, Warren and Richard, plus many grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Carter and Mabel Larson, his first wife Doreen in 1966, and his second wife Barbra in 2008.
Ole was born in Prince Albert to Mabel (Grassick) Larson and Carter Larson. At an early age, he was raised by his Aunt & Uncles in the Birch Hills area. He spent time in the Northern Lights and Birch Hills area as a youth. He married in 1958, but in 1966 he lost his wife in a tragic automobile accident. He settled in Edmonton in the early 1970s where he worked in the transportation industry as a mechanic and truck driver before returning to the farm in the Birch Hills area in the 1980s.
He loved his farm and spoke often about the wildlife he would see and the friendships that were formed there. He was fortunate to have spent that portion of his life in an area he loved and with the friendships he had created.
A service will be held at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, 130 – 9 Street East in Prince Albert at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 7, 2024. A light luncheon will follow.
