Ali D Shines at Canadian Nationals, Capping Off an Impressive Season
Toronto played host to the Canadian Nationals, where young para swimmer Ali D brought her ambitions and hard work to the forefront.
Competing in five challenging events: 50 and 100 metre freestyle, 100 breaststroke, 100 backstroke, and 200 metre individual medl, Ali made an indelible mark. Qualifying for the finals in all her events, she achieved personal best times across the board, underscoring her growth and determination.
The highlight of Ali’s performance came in the 50 metre freestyle, where she secured a bronze medal, showcasing her speed and competitive edge. She narrowly missed the podium in the 100 metre breaststroke , finishing fourth but leaving no doubt about her prowess in the water.
Ali’s accomplishments in Toronto are just the latest in a string o successes. Earlier this season, she clinched gold in the 100 metre breaststroke at the Para Swimming World Championships series in Indianapolis for the 18 & under category.
