Successful summer games for Team Lakeland and Team North
The Saskatchewan Summer Games wrapped up on Sunday in Lloydminster, and teams representing the Lakeland and the North both walked away with heads held high.
The teams each won 20 medals.
For Team Lakeland, Tanner Svenson won gold in the special olympics, bocce event. Marcail Phil won gold in the 3000 m race and Corbin Unruh won gold in high jump.
The team’s nine silver medals came in track and field, bocce, swimming, archery and volleyball (female).
