SHA: Bomb Threat at Saskatoon’s RUH and children’s hospital
Update at 2:55p.m.: An active Code Black at Saskatoon’s Royal University Hospital and Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Emergency Department has ended.
Saskatoon Police said shortly after the incident concluded that they were called for a report of a man in a vehicle who was possibly armed with a bomb outside of the ambulance bay at 11:30 am.
After several hours of lockdown, they determined the 47-year-old man did not have any explosive device and negotiated with him to leave the vehicle.
When he did, he was arrested under the Mental Health Services Act without issue.
