UPDATED: SaskTel services restored La Loche, neighbouring communities

UPDATE: SaskTel reported that all services were restored at 11:55 p.m. on Sunday.

SaskTel is currently experiencing a service outage impacting Internet, Wireless, and Landline (SaskTel Home and Business Phone) services in and around the northern communities of La Loche, Turnor Lake, and Bear Creek.

SaskTel has determined the cause of the outage to be a damaged fibre cable in La Loche. SaskTel technicians have been dispatched and are expected to arrive in La Loche this evening. Restoration efforts will continue through the evening until all services are restored. Barring unforeseen challenges, SaskTel expects to have services restored in the early morning hours of Monday, July 18th .

In the event of an emergency, residents in and around the affected communities will need to physically contact their nearest emergency services for assistance.
