Police nab suspect with gun near St. Louis

A 23-year-old man made his first court appearance in Saskatoon today in connection with recently reported incidents involving a man pointing guns at vehicles on Highway 11.
RCMP responded to reports of a suspicious person walking along the South Saskatchewan River near St. Louis on June 21. Officers used the dog unit and a drone to locate the suspect who they arrested after discovering a nearby gun and 33 grams of meth.
Christian Michel of Pelican Narrows is charged with pointing a gun, tampering with a serial number, having the proceeds of crime over $5,000, possession for the purpose of trafficking and other gun related charges.
Three other men previously arrested on June 20 were released with no charges.
