One of the three people charged in connection with the death of Tristan Chaboyer has taken responsibility for their actions.

Harley Bear appeared Monday morning at Court of King’s Bench in Prince Albert and a guilty plea was entered to accessory after the fact to murder.

A pre-sentence report, which will canvass Bear’s background, has been ordered and a sentencing hearing has been scheduled for Sept. 5.

Tristan Chaboyer was last seen alive on Sept. 4, 2020 and was reported missing about a week later. It was then almost a year before his remains were found in a wooded area near Prince Albert.

DNA confirmed the remains were those of the missing 24-year-old and police determined he died of homicide.

The two co-accused, Kyle Charles and Allan Genereux, were also charged with being an accessory after the fact to murder. Genereux was also additionally accused of committing an indignity to human remains.

His next court is on July 26.

Charles, who entered a not guilty plea last February, will be tried on Sept. 25 at provincial court.
