It’s a seller’s market for Prince Albert real estate
As some of the housing issues faced by other communities reach Prince Albert, one realtor told paNOW that the current market is definitely in favour of sellers.
Sales are up and listings are down with sellers now starting to see multiple offers on their homes, said Jesse Honch with Coldwell Banker.
“The shortage of properties available is creating more competition for those properties, which is causing those prices to rise. Lots of the properties hitting the market today are going into multiple offers. And when that happens, you know the properties are selling very close to list price and, in some cases, higher than list price,” he said.
Sales to date are already up 10 per cent compared to 2023 and the average sale price is also up 3.5 per cent.
