LANGFORD, Brian
June 30, 1951 – Feb 28, 2024
In loving memory of our dad, Brian Langford, who is no longer battling with Multiple Myeloma and passed away peacefully in hospice care holding our hands and hearing our prayers.
Brian was a caring husband to Gisele, a very proud Dad to Dustin (Leanne) and Bridgette (Dana), a loving grandfather to Burke, Ross, Farrah and Vaughn and a fun-loving brother-in-law, uncle, and friend to many.
Dad grew up north of PA as an only child to Johnny and Annie Langford. As a young boy he spent a lot of time outdoors hunting and fishing with his father and their dogs. As a teenager, he was curious about the culture and music scene of San Francisco and figured out a way to get himself there. He experienced the ‘Summer of love’ in the late 60’s and developed a strong appreciation for music. To pay for his travels, he had to return home and work, this is when he met Gisele Pellerin, asked her to dance, and fell in love.
Only after a few months of dating, Brian experienced a serious worksite injury where he ended up in a body cast, Gisele never left his side. The young couple eventually bought a home, got married and created a family. Sharing a passion for sports, they spent many years both playing slow-pitch together and coaching the kid’s ball teams.
Brian worked hard to provide for his family selling fence posts and trucking. He loved working with the community of PA, specifically at the bus lines and Crescent Heights rink. He retired from the City of Prince Albert where he worked with people whom he considered family, more so than co-workers. Anyone who met Brian instantly got a new nickname and his friends knew he was always around to BS and share laughs with over a cold one.
He enjoyed the simple things in life, and for him that was Gisele’s home cooking, relaxing by the pond, caring for the family pets, and watching a Jay’s game on TV. Dad cherished our big Pellerin family celebrations and sharing a meal or a funny story with all of Dustin and Bridgette’s childhood friends. Brian had a big caring heart that will be missed by all who knew him.
We love you and will never forget you Dad, keep on truckin!
