Debate on over banning work on Diefenbaker bridge during the day
Whether or not maintenance work should be done during the day between May and October was a topic of debate for Prince Albert city council on Monday.
Mayor Greg Dionne said he would like to see work done at other times than when the bridge is getting heavy use from drivers coming from the north but not all councillors agreed.
Dionne asked council to pass a motion that investigated whether time restrictions would be feasible.
The motion was to not allow regular maintenance work, such as washing the bridge between May 1st and October 1st and between 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., unless the work is an emergency or pre-approved by City Council.
