James “Jim” Kendall
1960-2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jim Kendall on May 5, 2024, after a year and a half battle with cancer. He passed peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends.
Jim spent his childhood in the Steep Creek area where he rode his bike around the district and spent a lot of his time at the Kasko’s farm. Jim and John Kasko would ride their bikes to go fishing at the river.
Jim attended East Central School and then Tech. He spent his life working in the construction industry in Calgary and in Prince Albert. Jim started his own construction business in 2001 and made many friends of his customers and their families.
Jim spent years building and renovating homes in Prince Albert and area for more than twenty years with his wife Christine. He enjoyed camping, fishing, building, and spending time with friends and family. He will be missed by all that knew him.
Jim is survived by his wife, Christine; daughter, Jesse (Nicholas); son, Lucas (Christy); new grandson, Christopher; siblings, Dave and Linda; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Barbara and Herbert; and brother, William.
A celebration of life will take place in the summer to honour Jim’s memory. Online condolences may be left at https://www.arbormemorial.ca/en/riverpark/obituaries/james-jim-kendall/123551.html .
