It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Walter Bazarkiewicz on April 20, 2024.
In his early years Wally did carpentry work and other jobs including working at CKBI in Prince Albert as a photographer. In 1971 he started working with Sask Housing until his retirement in April 2013. After retirement he worked at Co-Op Agro. One of Wally’s passions was restoring old tractors. Throughout the years he restored and donated many to the Vintage Power Machines (Vintage Farm) located South West of Prince Albert.
Walter is survived by his loving wife, Margaret (Maggi) Morrice; his sisters, Carole Lato (Ed), Karen Hand (Sheldon); his step-children, Tracy Fiddler (Tim), Trina Bueckert (Quinton), Jed Forsman (Andrea); his grandchildren, Darien & Jessica Fiddler, Colton & Zachary Bueckert.
He was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Helen Bazarkiewicz; his brother, Albert; two nephews, Deryl Lato and Murray Bazarkiewicz.
The Funeral Service for Walter will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at River Park Funeral Home, in Prince Albert, SK, with Rev. Nora Vedress officiating.
