Wendy Chapman
1954 ~ 2024
It is with a heavy heart that Bob announces the peaceful passing of his wife, Wendy Chapman (née Isbister), on April 12, 2024.
Born in Prince Albert, SK, to Donald and Jemima Isbister, she was raised in Fenton, SK, and went to school in Prince Albert, SK. She spent 30 years working for the Saskatchewan Government in various roles between 1975 and 2005. During this time, she met the love of her life, Bob, where they were happily married, just a few months shy of their 25th anniversary. When she retired, her and Bob moved to Lethbridge, AB, where they lived in a close-knit community.
Survived by her husband, Bob Chapman; brother, Ken Isbister (Karel); sister, Judy Kripki (Gary); and youngest brother, Harold Isbister (Jill). Predeceased by her parents, Donald and Jemima Isbister; her grandparents, Victor and Doris Poolman, and Ernest and Jenny Isbister; her sister, Carol Russell (Jim); and her sister, Debbie Brassard (Art); her nephew, Donald; and her fur-baby, Louie.
Even though Wendy and Bob didn’t have any children of their own, she considered her nieces and nephews to be her special children, Kim (Dan), Trevor, Joanne (Dwayne), Derek, Darryl (Tara), Victoria (Dan), Rob (Nichol), Joeleene (Neil), Joey (Candice), Corey, Colin (Alyssa), Malcolm (Sonya), Danny (Susan), Dale (Neta), as well as her late fur-baby, Louie. She was always proud of their accomplishments and ready to shower them with love, along with all of her great nieces and nephews. She will also be remembered and missed by Bev (Larry), Bill (Wendy), Brett.
Wendy was soft-spoken, gentle, kind and loving to all, always a phone-call or Facebook Messenger away from many of her distance family members. Despite kilometres stretching between her and many of her family members, her love and presence was always felt intimately, and she remained an integral part of her family’s daily lives. Through her unwavering support and boundless affection, she ensured that her familial bonds remained unbroken. Though she has now passed, her presence forever remains close, a lasting testament to the deep love she shared with her beloved family.
The Funeral Service for Wendy will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at St. George Anglican Church, 1104 4 Street East, in Prince Albert, SK. Her brother Harold will be officiating, The Rev. Canon Dr. David Butorac will be performing the Eucharist. A lunch will follow the service in the basement of the church.
