One person was taken to the Victoria Hospital early this morning after being assaulted with a metal ball attached to a rope wielded by two teens.

The victim told police that they had been assaulted with the ball and rope, threatened and had their personal belongings taken. They also had a head injury from the incident and were cared for by EMS before being taken to the hospital for further assessment.

When police arrived at the scene, they saw a 16-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man behind a business in the 3300 block of Second Avenue West.
